2020 DocLands Documentary Film Festival Postponed
April 30, 2020
Today, April 30, on the eve of what was to be Opening Night for the 2020 DocLands Documentary Film Festival, Mark Fishkin, CFI Executive Director/Founder and I are excited to announce this year’s program!
Following CFI’s initial notice to postpone DocLands (dates still to be determined) at the outset of the COVID-19 shelter-in-place, we’ve decided to make this announcement now as our team continues to explore the best way to bring the full slate of films to you during these extraordinary times. CFI continues to follow the protocols of government and healthcare experts, and will announce our plans for the postponed Festival as soon as we’re able to determine when that will be.
All of these films deserve exposure, and we are seeking the most appropriate ways to honor them, as well as the vision and dedication of their insightful filmmakers. CFI remains committed to presenting these exquisite films to you, our audience. Thank you for your ongoing support for documentary film—it encourages us, especially during these challenging times, to find creative ways to exhibit inspiring films to audiences near and far.
