Documentary storytelling continues to be more important than ever. From capturing the beauty of our fragile planet and its undeniable connection to mankind’s quality of life, to inspiring stories that have direct impact on the most pressing issues of our time, documentary filmmakers are searching for truth through storytelling.

The DocLands Documentary Film Festival was launched in 2017 because the California Film Institute is committed to bringing these powerful, impactful, and transformational documentaries and filmmakers to our community.

We need your help to bring dozens of national and international filmmakers and their groundbreaking films to Marin County for the DocLands Documentary Film Festival, as well as provide more than 3,000 students the opportunity to experience free DocLands education programs.

Show your support for documentary film by making a tax-deductible gift:

$100 – will support film rental and shipping fees for DocLands films
In appreciation you will receive two (2) DocLands film vouchers

$500 – will support bus transportation to bring 50 students to the Environmental Youth Forum
In appreciation you will receive one (1) DocLands All-Access Pass

$1000 –  will support bringing one filmmaker to Marin County for DocLands
In appreciation you will receive two (2) DocLands All-Access Passes

All Donations received by March 19 will be recognized in print and on-screen during the festival. Donations received after this date will be recognized on-screen only.
