With his beloved hometown of Baltimore plagued by gun violence, and the zero-tolerance policing policy that’s been in place his whole life no use against an ever-rising murder rate, Brandon Scott, the youngest-ever City Council President, has some big ideas to heal his city.  Remembering his mother’s advice from years earlier, Scott takes the necessary steps to make change happen; in the midst of the George Floyd crisis, he also becomes Baltimore’s youngest-ever elected mayor. But will his brave and inspired new ways pave a safer road ahead for the people of his city? Through unfettered, authentic access to Mayor Scott, as well as an inspired soundtrack, director Gabriel Francis Paz Goodenough provides what could be a brighter view of not just one city’s future, but our nation’s too.
